mara/thalassa/sea at TuckUnder Projects
Melissa Borman, Rian Kerrane, Anastasia Pelias
After previous exhibitions in Denver and New Orleans, mara/thalassa/sea was the third collaborative exhibition for Borman, Kerrane, and Pelias. Using text, objects, and images, the three artists conceptually reference universal associations as well as their personal relationships with the sea. The geographical origins of these relationships, Hawaii, Greece, and Ireland, are bound to each artist through ancestry, upbringing, and cultural heritage.
